OUR STORY

We often describe our business as the fourth generation of Northwest confectioners.

Starting in 1914, Shorthill Taffy factory started producing what the world knows at saltwater taffy. The Candy Basket started producing handmade confections in 1938.

Dick Fuhr purchased The Candy Basket Inc. in 1977, and two years later his son, Dale, joined the team.

After Kipi took over her family taffy business, initial business talk led to love.

In 1998 the Taffy Queen and Chocolate King merged their two companies.

Since then, the business has grown into one of the largest candy companies in the Pacific Northwest.

Quite simply this candy business isn't just a labor of love, it's family!

"Our mission is simple: to provide the best products and service to our customers the way it's always been done. We take great pride in our company, our commitment to customer service, and in the products we sell. From our family to yours, we hope you enjoy our treats."
